Genesis and The Noellie Bible Series

The Beginning of Something

In a few weeks, the third picture book of Noellie Books will be arriving — Genesis, a picture book of the oldest and most beautiful stories ever told, and the first in what will become the great work of this little publishing house: a picture book for every book of the Bible, written one by one, with all the care and beauty and unhurried love that these stories have always deserved.

I have wanted to make this series for a while now. Not simplified versions, not summaries for small attention spans, but real stories told the way every enduring story deserves to be told — in language a child can carry in their heart long after the book is closed. Because children do not need less truth. They need truth given to them gently, by someone who loves both the story and the child enough to get it right.

Genesis moves through eight of the oldest stories ever told — creation and the garden, Noah and the promise made in color across a clearing sky, Abraham walking into the unknown on nothing but a voice he trusted, Sarah laughing at the impossible and then holding the impossible in her arms, the mountain, the ladder Jacob saw in his sleep while he was running away from everything, and Joseph, whose coat was every color and whose story carries the truth I have needed most in my own life: that the broken and painful parts are never the end, that someone is always, always weaving them into something more.

This is the beginning of something my heart has longed to give to God's children for a very long time. And I cannot wait to share every single one.

Stay tuned for more, and as always, feel free to follow us along on Instagram for all of the behind the scenes content and my Instagram to see my heart bringing this to life.
